Huawei Marine Networks announces that the number of their contracts into force accumulatively reaches over 100, including new build and upgrade projects. Its stable performance of over 10 contracts in 2019 brings a noticeable growth for the global submarine cable supplier. Meanwhile, the projects under delivery are the pioneer applications of latest technologies, like 16 fiber-pair SDM repeater and WSS Roadm BU in a commercial case.
Based the accumulative number of projects, Huawei Marine has gained exactly 104 contracts since it established. The latest one HMN gains is Hainan Hongkong System Cable, a new build project connecting Hongkong SAR, Hainan Province and Zhuhai. The cable employs the latest 16 fiber-pair SDM repeater in the commercial case, improving the system capacity and optimizing its performance. HMN also applies Open Cable system and 200G coding technology in its projects. The pioneer applications provides matured cases for its customers and makes progress of technology innovation for the subsea industry.
The contracts HMN are awarded in 2019 are worldwide and of various solutions. They include the repeatered system for a longer-length case in Africa, and as well the unrepeatered projects building a national backbone network for island countries. These customized solutions do and will embrace the customers’ requirement, and bring the commercial success to customers.
